    Product Description

    This category features the popular 3580-series external LTO Ultrium tape drives and the IBM 7226-1U3 Multimedia Storage Enclosure, a compact 1U rack-mount unit designed to house up to two half-high LTO tape drives. The 7226-1U3 provides professional rack integration, excellent cooling, hot-plug support, and easy serviceability for external tape backup when internal server bays are limited. All drives support hardware AES-256 encryption (LTO-4+), WORM media for compliance, LTFS file-based access (LTO-5+), and full backward compatibility with prior LTO generations. Together they create complete external tape solutions with capacities from 200 GB (LTO-2) up to 18 TB native (LTO-9) per drive.
