IBM Power S1112
9242-21B rack | 9242-21T tower
The S1112 is the small Power11 system. It fits small AIX shops and compact sites.

IBM Power S1122

The S1122 is a dense 2U server. It suits small and midsize AIX shops that need more cores in a short rack.

AIX Compatibility
Power11 AIX servers are built to run AIX. They also run IBM i and Linux when you need mixed partitions.

AIX rules can change by model. On S1122 and S1124 with virtual I/O, start with AIX 7.3 TL 7300-02 SP2 or AIX 7.2 TL 7200-05 SP8. With direct I/O, start with AIX 7.3 TL 7300-02 SP4 or AIX 7.2 TL 7200-05 SP10. AIX 7.2 LPARs run in Power9 compatibility mode.
