The IBM 9043-MRU E1150 is a 4U Power11 midrange server configured for AIX. This build uses two 24-core POWER11 processor modules for 48 active cores.
Product Description
The IBM 9043-MRU E1150 48-Core Power11 AIX System uses two #EPEY processor modules. Each module has 24 active cores plus 2 spare cores, at 3.3–4.2 GHz. The base memory configuration is 256 GB DDR5, which meets the eight-module minimum for a two-processor E1150. The system supports AIX and Linux. IBM i is not supported on 9043-MRU. Memory can grow to 16 TB, and the chassis can take two more processor modules of the same feature.

- Operating systems: AIX 7.3 TL 7300-02 with service pack 7300-02-04-2520 or later. AIX 7.3 TL 7300-03 with 7300-03-01 or later. AIX 7.2 TL 7200-05 with 7200-05-10-2520 or later, in Power9 compatibility mode. Linux on Power at supported levels
- Not supported: IBM i
- Storage: Enterprise NVMe U.2 modules for AIX/Linux and supported drawers
- Networking: PCIe Ethernet and Fibre Channel adapters in supported slots
- Limitations: Minimum two processor modules. All modules in one server must be the same feature. Maximum 48 cores on #EPEY, 16 TB memory, 10 NVMe U.2 bays, and 11 PCIe slots. Match firmware, HMC level, and AIX TL/SP to feature EPEY
