Overview

The FlashSystem 5000 series includes multiple models designed to scale from small environments to midrange deployments. All models support dual active-active controllers, distributed RAID, Easy Tier, FlashCopy, remote mirroring, thin provisioning, and encryption (model dependent). Systems can be configured as all-flash or hybrid and support a wide range of SAS and NVMe drives along with expansion enclosures.

FlashSystem 5000 Family Models

FlashSystem 5015
Entry-level hybrid and all-flash storage. Dual 2-core processors, up to 64 GB cache, support for data reduction, and flexible host connectivity. Ideal for cost-effective primary storage and smaller environments.

FlashSystem 5045
Enhanced entry-level platform with stronger processors, data reduction pools (compression and deduplication), clustering support, and higher scalability.

Midrange successor to the 5030 with improved performance and capacity options. Supports advanced features including HyperSwap and data reduction.
