    The IBM Power E1180 (9080-HEU) Power11 server is the flagship enterprise platform for AIX. It uses a modular multi-node design with up to 256 cores, 64 TB of DDR5 memory, and NVMe expansion.

    With AIX support, PowerVM virtualization, Transparent Memory Encryption, quantum-safe cryptography, and in-core Matrix Math Accelerator (MMA) capabilities, the IBM Power E1180 9080-HEU is the largest Power11 system for AIX and mixed partitions.

    One node supports 4 processors and 40, 48, or 64 cores. Four nodes support 16 processors and 160, 192, or 256 cores. Core activations are available through Capacity on Demand and Power Enterprise Pools 2.0.

    • Limitations: Modular enterprise rack only. Maximum 16 TB memory and 8 PCIe slots per node. AIX 7.2 LPARs run in Power9 compatibility mode. Match firmware, HMC level, and AIX TL/SP to the processor feature
