    Product Description

    The IBM Power S1112 (machine type 9242-21B) is a single-socket Power11 processor-based server that modernizes AIX, IBM i, and Linux workloads. It offers improved core performance compared with prior entry Power systems. With high-speed DDR5 memory and enterprise NVMe storage, the S1112 provides a secure platform for AIX applications. The 9242-21B rack model uses one eSCM socket with 4-core or 10-core processor options, up to 512 GB DDR5, and four NVMe U.2 bays. Published AIX SMT8 rPerf is 148.8 on 4 cores and 298.7 on 10 cores.
