    The IBM FlashSystem 9200 is a 2U all-flash NVMe storage system for enterprise workloads.

    Product Description

    The IBM FlashSystem 9200 is a high-performance all-flash array built on IBM Storage Virtualize software. Each control enclosure is a 2U rack-mount system with 24 NVMe drive slots for IBM FlashCore Modules or industry-standard NVMe SSDs. Dual node canisters provide redundant processing and cache. The system supports Fibre Channel and Ethernet host attachment, plus SAS expansion enclosures for additional capacity. Up to four control enclosures can be clustered and managed as a single system. FlashSystem 9200 delivers low-latency performance with hardware-assisted compression on FlashCore Modules, data reduction, encryption, and Easy Tier.

    Each control enclosure supports up to 24 NVMe drives and dual node canisters with cache options from 256 GB to 1.5 TB or higher depending on configuration.

    Expansion Enclosures

    • 9846-AFF / 9848-AFF / 4666-AFF: 2U24 all-flash SAS expansion enclosure (up to 24 SFF flash drives)
    • 9846-A9F / 9848-A9F / 4666-A9F: 5U92 high-density all-flash SAS expansion enclosure (up to 92 flash drives)

    A single control enclosure can support multiple expansion enclosures in SAS chains, subject to weight and chain rules.

    Warranty

    Control enclosures are available with one-year, three-year, or Expert Care coverage. Individual components and drives include a 60-day warranty covering parts and functionality when purchased separately.
