Product Description
IBM 3580-H9S TS2290 LTO-9 Ultrium Half-High SAS Tape Drive
The IBM TS2290 is an external half-high LTO Ultrium 9 SAS tape drive.
Product Description
The IBM TS2290 (machine type 3580, model H9S) is a stand-alone LTO Ultrium 9 half-high tape drive with two 12 Gb SAS ports. It writes LTO-9 cartridges at 18 TB native and up to 45 TB compressed (2.5:1). Native data rate is up to 300 MB/s. It also reads and writes LTO-8 cartridges. The drive can sit on a shelf or mount in an optional 2U rack shelf that holds two drives side by side. It is not a library drive.
The current listing that quotes a 400 MB/s native rate is incorrect. That rate is for a full-high LTO-9 drive. The TS2290 is half-high.
