Product Description
The IBM TS2340 (machine type 3580, model L43) is a stand-alone LTO Ultrium 4 tape drive with a SCSI interface. It writes LTO-4 cartridges at 800 GB native and up to 1.6 TB compressed (2:1). Native data rate is up to 120 MB/s. It reads and writes LTO-3 cartridges and reads LTO-2 cartridges. The drive is an external unit for direct host attachment. It is not a library drive. Model S43 is the related 3 Gb SAS version of the TS2340.

- Limitations: Stand-alone drive only. Does not fit a TS4300, TS3100, or TS3200 library. Does not read LTO-1 cartridges. Fibre Channel cables are ordered separately. Confirm host adapter and operating system support before install
