Product Description
The IBM AGLB (feature code AGLB, part number 02XX411) is an LTO Ultrium 9 half-high tape drive with two 12 Gb SAS ports. It installs in an IBM TS4300 Tape Library, machine type 3555, models L3A and E3A. The drive writes LTO-9 cartridges at 18 TB native and up to 45 TB compressed (2.5:1). Native data rate on the half-high drive is up to 300 MB/s. It also reads and writes LTO-8 cartridges. Feature AGLA is the related half-high 8 Gb Fibre Channel LTO-9 drive. Feature AGLD is the related full-high 12 Gb SAS LTO-9 drive.

Compatibility
The IBM AGLB LTO-9 Half-High SAS Tape Drive is compatible with:
- Libraries: IBM TS4300 Tape Library 3555-L3A base module and 3555-E3A expansion module. SAS LTO-9 drives are also used in TS4300 Expert Care libraries 5544-L8A and 5544-E8A
- Drive mix: A module can hold up to three half-high drives, or one full-high drive plus one half-high drive
- Hosts: IBM Power Systems with a supported 12 Gb SAS tape adapter such as EJ2B, and other hosts with a supported 12 Gb SAS HBA
- Software: IBM i, AIX, and Linux backup applications that support LTO-9 in a TS4300
- Media: LTO-9 data cartridges and LTO-8 data cartridges. Use a universal Ultrium cleaning cartridge
- Limitations: Not a stand-alone drive. Does not fit TS3100 or TS3200 libraries. Does not read LTO-7 or earlier cartridges. SAS cables are ordered separately. Confirm library firmware and host adapter support before install
