The IBM EM4M (feature code EM4M, part number 03HD815, CCIN 3298) is a 256 GB memory feature made of two 128 GB full-height DDR5 DDIMMs. Each module uses 16 Gb DRAM and runs at 4000 MHz or 4800 MHz depending on the processor type. The feature uses two DDIMM slots. It is the Power11 feature code for the same full-height 128 GB DDR5 module ordered as EMFD on Power10. Full-height memory is not supported on systems that have an RDX drive. Do not mix this DDR5 feature with DDR4 memory in the same system.

- Systems: IBM Power S1122 9824-22A, S1124 9824-42A, and other Power11 systems that accept full-height DDR5 DDIMMs. Confirm support on the specific system before install
- Operating systems: IBM i, AIX, VIOS, and Linux on Power
- Related features: EM54 (64 GB), EM5B (128 GB), and EM5G (256 GB low-profile) are the other DDR5 features. EM5J is the 512 GB full-height DDR5 feature
- Limitations: Requires two empty DDIMM slots. Full-height memory is not supported when an RDX drive is installed. Do not mix DDR4 and DDR5 in the same system. All memory in the system must be the same height. Follow the system memory plugging rules
