Product Description
The IBM 8442 (feature code 8442, machine type 3576-8442) is a full-high LTO Ultrium 7 tape drive with a dual-port 8 Gbps Fibre Channel interface. It installs in the IBM TS3310 Tape Library (3576-L5B base and 3576-E9U expansion modules). The drive writes LTO-7 cartridges at 6 TB native capacity and up to 15 TB compressed (2.5:1). Native data transfer rate is up to 300 MB/s. It writes and reads LTO-6 cartridges and reads LTO-5 cartridges. The drive supports hardware AES-256 encryption, WORM media, and LTFS.
