The IBM ESF8 (feature code ESF8, part number 00E9953, CCIN 59DB) is a 1.14 TB 10,000 rpm SAS disk drive mounted on a Generation-3 (SFF-3) 2.5-inch carrier. It is formatted with 4K (4224-byte) sectors for IBM i. If reformatted to 4096-byte sectors, capacity would be 1.2 TB and the additional 4224-byte data integrity protection would not apply. The drive is supported in SFF-3 SAS bays in POWER9 system units.
