The IBM ESF4 (feature code ESF4, part number 00E9951, CCIN 59D3) is a 571 GB 10,000 rpm SAS disk drive mounted on a Generation-3 (SFF-3) 2.5-inch carrier. It is formatted with 4K (4224-byte) sectors for IBM i. If reformatted to 4096-byte sectors, capacity would be 600 GB and the additional 4224-byte data integrity protection would not apply. The drive is supported in SFF-3 SAS bays in POWER8 system units.
