Product Description
The IBM EC74 (feature code EC74, part number 03HD078, CCIN 2CF8) is a PCIe Gen4 x8 adapter with two SFP28 ports and crypto capability. Each port supports 25 Gb, 10 Gb, or 1 Gb Ethernet and RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE). Feature EC74 is the full-height version. Feature EC73 is the same adapter in low-profile form factor. The adapter runs in dedicated mode only. SFP28 transceivers and cables are ordered separately.

Compatibility
The IBM EC74 PCIe4 RoCE Crypto Adapter is compatible with:
- Systems: IBM Power10 and Power11 servers with a supported full-height PCIe slot, including S1014 9105-41B, S1022 9105-22A / 9105-22B, S1024 9105-42A, S1112 9242-21B, S1122 9824-22A, and S1124 9824-42A
- Operating systems: IBM i, AIX, VIOS, and Linux on Power at supported levels
- Cables: SFP28 optical or copper cables, ordered separately. Twinax wrap plug 74Y7010 and optical wrap plug 12R9314 for diagnostics
- Limitations: Requires a full-height slot. Use EC73 for low-profile slots. Runs in dedicated mode only. Confirm slot priority and maximum adapter count for the system. SFP28 modules are not included. Not interchangeable with the non-crypto EC71/EC72 (CCIN 2CF9)
