The IBM EAPD (feature code EAPD, CCIN EC26, FRU 03JP128) is a full-height PCIe4 x16 4-port 25/10/1 GbE RoCE SFP28 adapter. It supports both standard Ethernet NIC functionality and RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE), enabling significantly higher bandwidth with lower latency while minimizing CPU overhead. The adapter is ideal for high-performance networking, virtualization, and data-intensive applications on IBM Power11 systems, including the Power S1112. A low-profile version of the same adapter is available as feature code EAPC.
