Product Description

IBM Storage FlashSystem is a family of all-flash and hybrid storage systems powered by IBM Storage Virtualize software, offering unified block storage management, inline data reduction (deduplication and compression), replication, snapshots, and AI-optimized operations through FlashSystem.ai. Current models (2026 lineup) include the FlashSystem 5600 (compact 1U midrange), 7600 (high-density 2U), and 9600 (enterprise flagship), alongside entry-level options like FlashSystem 5000 and archive-focused C200. These systems use 5th-generation FlashCore Modules (FCM) for hardware-accelerated efficiency, NVMe EDSFF drives, and agentic AI for autonomous threat detection, anomaly remediation, and proactive optimization—reducing management effort by up to 90%.

IBM SAN solutions, primarily B-type (Brocade-based) and c-type switches, provide dedicated Fibre Channel connectivity for storage area networks.
