The IBM 4680 FlashSystem 5045 SFF Control Enclosure Model 3P4 is a 2U dual-controller storage system designed for entry-to-midrange enterprise environments. It features two node canisters, each with a six-core processor, and supports up to 24 Small Form Factor (SFF) 2.5-inch drives. The FlashSystem 5045 builds on the 5015 platform with enhanced capabilities including data reduction pools (compression and deduplication), encryption, clustering, and Safeguarded Copy. It runs IBM Storage Virtualize software and supports flexible host connectivity and expansion options.
