The IBM ES4G (feature code ES4G, part number 02YC898, CCIN 5953) is a 6.4 TB Enterprise NVMe U.2 15 mm SSD. It uses a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface and is formatted with 4160-byte sectors for IBM i. This enterprise SSD is rated at 3 Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD) over a five-year period. Feature ES4F is the physically identical AIX/Linux/VIOS version, formatted with 4096-byte sectors.

- Systems: IBM POWER10 and POWER11 systems with available U.2 15 mm NVMe slots, including 9105-41B, 9105-22A / 22B, 9105-42A, 9043-MRX, 9080-HEX, 9824-22A, and 9824-42A
- Environments: IBM i
- Requirements: Available U.2 15 mm NVMe slot. Mirroring is required when the drive is used as an IBM i load source.
- Limitations: Does not fit SAS SFF-2 or SFF-3 bays. AIX and Linux use feature ES4F, not ES4G. Confirm firmware, slot population rules, and IBM i load-source rules before install.

The IBM ES4G 6.4TB SSD PCIe4 NVMe U.2 module is compatible with IBM Power Systems running IBM i, including Power11 models 9824-22A (S1122) and 9824-42A (S1124). Power10 models such as 9105-41B (Power S1014), 9105-22A (Power S1022), 9105-22B (Power S1022s), 9105-42A (Power S1024), 9043-MRX (E1050), and 9080-HEX (E1080). It is also supported on select Power9 models. This drive requires an available U.2 NVMe slot and supports IBM i as a native load source or additional storage (mirroring required). It is optimized for IBM i OS400 and provides high IOPS for virtualization and database workloads. Not compatible with non-NVMe slots or non-supported OS configurations without proper formatting.
