The IBM ECTB (feature code ECTB, part number 02YC940, CCIN 5941) is a 15.3 TB Mainstream NVMe U.2 15 mm SSD. It uses a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface and is rated at 1 Drive Write Per Day (DWPD) over a five-year period. Feature ECT9 is the physically related AIX/Linux/VIOS version, formatted with 4096-byte sectors. IBM i native support requires IBM i 7.5 TR4 or IBM i 7.4 TR10 or later. Mirroring is required.

- Environments: IBM i 7.5 TR4 or later and IBM i 7.4 TR10 or later for native use; IBM i 7.3 is not supported natively or through VIOS
- Requirements: Available U.2 NVMe slot. Mirroring is required.
- Limitations: Does not fit SAS SFF-2 or SFF-3 bays. Confirm firmware, slot population rules, and IBM i load-source rules before install.
