Product Description
IBM ECT1 Enterprise 3.2TB SSD PCIe4 NVMe U.2 Module for AIX/Linux
The IBM ECT1 is an Enterprise-class 3.2 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe U.2 solid-state drive designed for IBM Power Systems running AIX and Linux. It delivers high performance, low latency, and strong endurance for demanding enterprise workloads.
Product Description
The IBM ECT1 (feature code ECT1) is an Enterprise 3.2 TB PCIe4 NVMe U.2 module optimized for AIX and Linux environments on IBM Power Systems. As an Enterprise-grade drive, it offers higher write endurance and consistent performance compared to Mainstream SSDs, making it suitable for mixed and write-intensive applications such as databases, virtualization, and transactional workloads. The drive uses the U.2 form factor and PCIe Gen4 interface to provide significantly higher IOPS and throughput than traditional SAS or SATA SSDs. It is fully supported on Power11 systems (including the S1112) as well as compatible Power10 and earlier platforms.
