The IBM EC7W (feature code EC7W) is an Enterprise-class 800 GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe U.2 solid-state drive. It uses a 15 mm U.2 form factor and is formatted with 4096-byte sectors for AIX and Linux. It is the Power11 feature code for the same 800 GB Enterprise NVMe U.2 module ordered as ES5A on Power10 (part number 02YC724, CCIN 5B53). The drive provides high endurance and low latency for enterprise workloads. It is not an IBM i drive.

- Systems: IBM Power11 systems with supported U.2 NVMe bays, including S1112 9242-21B / 9242-21T, S1122 9824-22A, and S1124 9824-42A
- Operating systems: AIX and Linux on Power. Not for direct IBM i attachment
- Related modules: EC7W is the AIX/Linux feature. The IBM i version uses a different feature code with 4160-byte sectors
- Limitations: Requires a supported U.2 NVMe bay. Does not fit SAS SFF-2 or SFF-3 bays. Confirm firmware level and population rules before install
