The IBM ESFG (feature code ESFG, part number 00E9966, CCIN 59E1) is a 283 GB 15,000 rpm SAS disk drive mounted on a Generation-3 (SFF-3) 2.5-inch carrier. It is formatted with 4K (4224-byte) sectors for IBM i. If reformatted to 4096-byte sectors, capacity would be 300 GB; IBM i does not support 4096-byte sectors. The drive is supported in SFF-3 SAS bays in POWER8 and POWER9 system units. Feature ESFA is a physically related IBM i feature for this same 15K SFF-3 4K family.
