The IBM ESFF (feature code ESFF, part number 00E9974, CCIN 59E5) is a 600 GB 15,000 rpm SAS disk drive mounted on a Generation-3 (SFF-3) 2.5-inch carrier. It is formatted with 4K (4096-byte) sectors for AIX and Linux. If reformatted to 4224-byte sectors, capacity would be 571 GB. The drive is supported in SFF-3 SAS bays in POWER8 and POWER9 system units. Feature ESFE is the physically related IBM i version of this 15K SFF-3 4K family.
