Product Description
IBM ESE8 3.72TB Mainstream SAS 4K SFF-2 SSD for IBM i part number 00LY555 CCIN 5B2D
The IBM ESE8 is a 3.72 TB Mainstream 4K SAS solid-state drive in an SFF-2 form factor designed for IBM Power Systems running IBM i.
Product Description for IBM Power9 ESE8
The IBM ESE8 (feature code ESE8, part number 00LY555, CCIN 5B2D) is a 3.72 TB Mainstream SAS solid-state drive formatted with 4K (4224-byte) sectors. It is mounted on an SFF-2 carrier for use in Gen2 SAS bays such as those in the EXP24SX (#ESLS) expansion drawer. The drive is rated at 6 Gb/s, with actual throughput depending on adapter, workload, and system configuration. Mainstream endurance is rated at 1 Drive Write Per Day (DWPD) over a five-year period, with an approximate lifetime Total Bytes Written (TBW) of 6,799 TB. Feature ESE7 is the physically identical AIX/Linux version.
