The IBM ALBN is a pair of 25/10 GbE iWARP adapter cards for IBM FlashSystem 5200 and FlashSystem 5300 control enclosures.
Product Description
The IBM ALBN (feature code ALBN, part number 03GH785) supplies two dual-port 25/10 GbE iWARP adapter cards. Speed is set by the installed transceiver. Use 25 Gb SFP28 or 10 Gb SFP+ modules. The adapter does not auto-negotiate optical speed. It adds Ethernet connectivity for iSCSI host attachment, IP replication, and system-to-system communication. It supports RDMA with iWARP. It does not support FCoE. It does not support NVMe-TCP or NVMe-RDMA. Optics are not included with the cards.

- Software: IBM Storage Virtualize on the supported enclosure
- Related adapters: ALBM is the related 25/10 GbE RoCE pair on FlashSystem 5200. ALBR is the 10 Gb Ethernet 4-port pair on FlashSystem 5300
- Install rules: Install matching cards across both node canisters. Maximum quantity applies to the combined optional host-interface card features
- Limitations: Fits supported FlashSystem 5200 and 5300 adapter slots only. Does not fit IBM Power Systems PCIe server slots. Confirm firmware level and transceiver support before install
