The IBM ALBN is a pair of 25/10 GbE iWARP adapter cards designed for the IBM FlashSystem 5200. It provides high-speed Ethernet connectivity with iWARP support for host attachment, replication, and system communication.
Product Description
The IBM ALBN (feature code ALBN, FRU/part number 03GH785) supplies a matched pair of 25/10 GbE (iWARP) 2-port adapter cards for the IBM FlashSystem 5200 (machine type 4662, models 6H2 and UH6). Each adapter delivers dual 25/10 GbE ports, enabling high-bandwidth iSCSI connectivity with iWARP (RDMA) support. These adapters are ideal for environments that require reliable, high-performance Ethernet-based storage connectivity, including IBM Power Systems workloads. Note that NVMe over Fabrics (NVMe-TCP / NVMe-RDMA) is not supported on the iWARP version of this adapter.
