The IBM AES1 (feature code AES1, part number 01YK819) is a 4.8 TB usable FlashCore Module 1 (FCM1). It uses the NVMe interface in a 2.5-inch, 15 mm form factor and includes hardware-accelerated inline compression and always-on AES-256 encryption. IBM rates this 4.8 TB FCM1 at 21.99 TB effective capacity. Feature ADS1 is the related 4.8 TB FCM1 feature for FlashSystem 7200 and Storwize V7000 Gen3. Feature AHS1 is the related 4.8 TB FCM1 feature for FlashSystem 9100 and FlashSystem 9200. Feature AES5 is the later 4.8 TB FCM2 feature for FlashSystem 5100.
