The IBM Power System S814 (machine type 8286 model 41A) with feature code EPX6 provides an 8-core POWER8 processor running at 3.72 GHz. Each core includes 512 KB of L2 cache and 8 MB of L3 cache. The 8-core configuration supports higher memory capacity than the 4-core model and is available in rack-mount form factor only. Internal storage uses SFF-3 SAS bays with an integrated RAID controller. The system includes hot-plug PCIe Gen3 slots, dual hot-plug power supplies, and EnergyScale technology.
