Product Description
The IBM 3576-L5B (machine type 3576, model L5B) is the base 5U library unit that provides the control module, robotics, touchscreen display, and cartridge handling for the TS3310 Tape Library. It includes fixed storage of up to 35 cartridge slots plus a configurable 6-slot I/O station and supports up to two LTO Ultrium tape drives. The library can be expanded with up to four 3576-E9U expansion modules for a maximum 41U configuration. It supports mixed generations of LTO drives and media (LTO-3 through LTO-8 depending on installed drives) and offers optional path failover, Capacity on Demand, and encryption management.
