Product Description
The IBM ENZ0 (feature code ENZ0) is a 4U rack-mountable PCIe Gen4 I/O expansion drawer. It provides up to 12 PCIe Gen4 adapter slots when configured with two PCIe4 6-slot fanout modules. Each fanout module supplies six slots (four x16 and two x8). The drawer connects to the host system through one or more expansion drawer cable pairs. Each cable pair provides a single x16 PCIe Gen4 link. Slots support hot-plug service and Single Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV). Blind-swap cassettes are used for adapter installation. The drawer is designed for Power11 systems and selected Power10 models that support external PCIe Gen4 expansion.

Compatibility
The IBM ENZ0 PCIe Gen4 I/O Expansion Drawer is compatible with:
- Systems: IBM Power11 servers including S1122 9824-22A, S1124 9824-42A, and E1180 9080-HEU. Selected Power10 systems that support external PCIe Gen4 expansion may also be supported. Confirm host support before install
- Operating systems: IBM i, AIX, VIOS, and Linux on Power
- Adapters: PCIe Gen4, Gen3, Gen2, and Gen1 adapters in supported slots, including Fibre Channel, Ethernet, RoCE, and SAS tape HBAs. Slot priority and maximum counts are model-specific
- Cables: Expansion drawer cable pairs (copper or active optical) ordered separately. Cable adapters must be installed in the host system
- Limitations: Requires fanout modules and expansion drawer cables. System must be powered off to install the cable adapter on most models. Follow rack placement rules so the cable management bracket functions correctly. Not compatible with systems that lack external PCIe Gen4 expansion support
