Product Description for IBM Power9 ESHU
The IBM ESHU (feature code ESHU, part number 00LY560, CCIN 5B20) is a 1.86 TB Mainstream SAS solid-state drive formatted with 4K (4224-byte) sectors. It is mounted on an SFF-3 carrier for installation in POWER8 and POWER9 system-unit SAS bays. This Mainstream SSD is rated at 1 Drive Write Per Day (DWPD) over a five-year period (approximately 3,399 TB total bytes written) and is specified at 6 Gb/s SAS. Feature ESHV is the physically identical IBM i version. Feature ES92 is a physically related AIX/Linux feature for this same Mainstream SFF-3 family.

- Limitations: Fits only SFF-3 bays. Does not fit EXP24S / EXP24SX (SFF-2) drawers or older SFF-1 bays. Cannot be mixed in the same array with 5xx-byte sector drives. Does not support 4096-byte JBOD formatting. Older PCIe2 and earlier SAS adapters do not support 4K drives. Verify firmware levels and population rules via IBM documentation.
