The IBM ESD5 (feature code ESD5, part number 00E9900, CCIN 59D0) is a 600 GB 10,000 rpm SAS disk drive mounted on a Generation-3 (SFF-3) 2.5-inch carrier. It is formatted with 512-byte sectors for AIX and Linux. If reformatted to 528-byte sectors, usable capacity is 571 GB. The drive is supported in SFF-3 SAS bays in POWER8 and POWER9 system units.
