It is formatted with 512-byte sectors and designed for use in SFF-2 SAS bays such as those found in the IBM EXP24S expansion drawer (#5887). This enterprise-class drive provides reliable capacity for AIX and Linux workloads on Power Systems. It is the AIX/Linux counterpart to the IBM 1738 (856 GB version formatted for IBM i with 528-byte sectors).
