The IBM ES7L (feature code ES7L, part number 00LY324, CCIN 5B19) is a 387 GB SAS solid-state drive using eMLC4 flash and formatted with 5xx (528-byte) sectors. It is mounted on an SFF-3 carrier for installation in POWER8 and POWER9 system-unit SAS bays. Feature ES7K is the physically identical AIX/Linux version. Feature ESGA is a physically related IBM i feature for this same 5xx SFF-3 family.

- Limitations: Fits only SFF-3 bays. Does not fit EXP24S / EXP24SX (SFF-2) drawers, #5802 / #5803 (SFF-1) drawers, or POWER7 system-unit SFF-1 bays. Cannot be mixed in the same array with 4K-byte sector drives. Verify firmware levels and population rules via IBM documentation.
