The IBM 3572-S9H TS2900 Tape Autoloader is a compact 1U rack-mount or standalone unit with one IBM LTO Ultrium 9 half-high SAS tape drive and a nine-cartridge removable magazine. It uses IBM high-density slot technology and is designed for automated backup and archive in entry-level and compact tape environments. LTO Ultrium 9 media provides 18 TB native capacity per cartridge (up to 45 TB with 2.5:1 compression). With nine slots, the autoloader supports up to 162 TB native capacity (up to 405 TB compressed). The LTO-9 half-high drive delivers a native data transfer rate of up to 300 MB/s. A standard bar code reader supports sequential or random access. Remote management is available through a web-based interface. Optional library-managed encryption, rack-mount kit, deskside covers, and additional magazines are available.
