These drives support mission-critical IBM i workloads on models like S914 (9009-41A), S922 (9009-22G/22A), S924 (9009-42A/42G), E950, and E980. SAS HDDs deliver cost-effective capacity for transactional and mixed I/O, SAS SSDs provide dramatically higher IOPS and lower latency for virtualization/ERP/analytics, and NVMe SSDs (PCIe-attached or direct U.2 in G-models) enable sub-100 μs access times for flash-optimized applications. All drives feature hot-swap carriers, RAID/mirroring support, and native IBM i compatibility (SAS from IBM i 7.3+, NVMe from 7.4 TR1+), with sector formats (512e/4Kn/4160-byte) optimized for IBM i native attachment.
