The IBM 2072-2H4 is the small form factor (SFF) control enclosure for the IBM FlashSystem 5010, an entry-level storage array running IBM Spectrum Virtualize software. It features dual active-active node canisters with two-core processors and base cache that can be upgraded for enhanced performance. The enclosure includes 24 × 2.5-inch SAS drive bays for internal storage, with support for high-performance HDDs, nearline drives, and flash SSDs. Standard connectivity includes 1 GbE iSCSI ports, expandable via optional adapters for Fibre Channel, higher-speed iSCSI, or SAS.
