The IBM EN0T is the low-profile version of the PCIe2 converged-capable network adapter, delivering two 10 Gb Short Range (SR) optical ports for high-speed Ethernet connectivity (with FCoE support in qualified configurations) and two 1 Gb RJ45 ports for standard Ethernet. Engineered for IBM Power Systems servers requiring low-profile PCIe slots, this PCIe Gen2 x8 adapter uses multimode fiber optic cabling with SR transceivers on the 10 Gb ports (up to 300 m reach with OM3/OM4 fiber) and CAT-5e/CAT-6 UTP on the RJ45 ports (up to 100 m). It provides efficient multi-protocol networking for data center workloads in AIX, IBM i, Linux, and VIOS environments.
