The IBM EN0M is a converged network adapter featuring two 10 Gb Long Range (LR) optical ports for Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and Ethernet NIC traffic, plus two 1 Gb RJ45 ports for standard Ethernet connectivity. This PCIe Gen3 x8 adapter is designed for IBM Power Systems servers, supporting single-mode fiber optic cabling on the 10 Gb LR ports (up to 10 km with appropriate transceivers) and CAT-5/6 cabling on the RJ45 ports (up to 100 m). It includes 256 MB onboard memory, interrupt moderation for efficient CPU usage, and converged LAN/storage networking capabilities in AIX, IBM i, Linux, and VIOS environments.
