The IBM EN0S is a PCIe2 converged-capable network adapter providing two 10 Gb Short Range (SR) optical ports for high-speed Ethernet (and FCoE support in compatible configurations) plus two 1 Gb RJ45 ports for standard Ethernet connectivity. Designed for IBM Power Systems servers, this short full-height PCIe Gen2 x8 adapter uses multimode fiber optic cabling with SR transceivers on the 10 Gb ports (up to 300 m reach with OM3/OM4 fiber) and CAT-5e/CAT-6 UTP on the RJ45 ports (up to 100 m). It offers efficient multi-protocol networking for data center environments running AIX, IBM i, Linux, and VIOS.
