IBM 6501 feature provides a SCSI interface for attachment of the following devices: 9337-210 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-215 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-220 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-225 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-240 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-420 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-440 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-480 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-540/545 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-580/585 Disk Unit Enclosure, 9337-590/595 Disk Unit Enclosure, IBM Versatile Storage Server, 3490-Cxx/Exx/Fxx 1/2-Inch Cart Tape (SCSI Host Attach), 3570 Magstar MP Tape Subsystem, 3590 1/2-Inch Cartridge Tape Subsystem. The configurator will specify #6534: Magnetic Media Controller for tape devices that can be controlled by #6534. Card slots required: One. Maximum number of tapes per IOP is two (one per port). Two tape devices are allowed to share a common IOP. Mix of tape and disk units on the same IOP is not allowed. Maximums are configuration dependent and may be limited when used in combination with other disk and tape controllers.
