IBM 2666 feature provides iSeries or AS/400 systems with a Frame Relay Adapter with a single communications port capable of T1/E1 (1.544/2.048 Mbps) speeds over public or private Frame Relay networks or point-to-point non-switched SDLC lines. The feature consists of a card, wrap plug and a cable. The 2685 feature is an OptiConnect card used to attach a RISC satellite system to a hub system over optic cable up to 500 meters away. The hub system in the cluster can be either a RISC or IMPI system which has #5601: OptiConnect in Rack or #5602: OptiConnect in Tower installed, dedicating an I/O tower or frame, into which #2685 installs for OptiConnect cluster use. The fiber optic cable operates at 1063Mbps.
